HIDDEN WITNESS 4: DOMINIC'S STORY Page 12

I grabbed Kleenex from the side pocket and wiped her face.

“I didn’t, Carmen. Actually, I backed off a little. Do you have any idea how hard it was not to kiss those lips?” I crushed her pouty lips.

“These sweet fucking lips,” I groaned like a deranged man. I devoured her lips and slid my hands under her dress and over her ass. My lips slid down her neck. I shoved her short dress over her breasts, slipped her nipple out of her bra, and sucked the tiny pebble.

“Dominic, I can’t be with you.” Her fingers roamed my hair.

I grabbed her hand and placed it over my fat cock. “Feel how hard I am for you. Baby, this dick belongs to you. I don’t want to fuck another woman. I don’t even have to touch your pussy. You know why?”

She stared at me like a deer in head lights.

“Because you only want to give yourself to me. Even after everything I told you. In the back of your mind you want to ride this dick. You want to be my wife.” I gripped her ass and rolled her pussy over my cock.

“Deep down you can’t make sense of how you fell in love with a psychopath. We’re good together, baby.” I captured her hungry lips again. She pushed her mouth hard against mine.

“Do you want me to taste you. I never ate pussy before because the only pussy I ever planned to eat was my wife’s.”

She lost it and her body convulsed against mine. Carmen came. I was the darkness she wanted. I was the darkness she craved.

“Do you want me to touch it?”

Her wild hair fell around us. I peeled back her soaked panties and peeked at her glistening mound.

“Baby, answer me. Do you want me to touch it?”

She stared into my eyes and nodded. The second my two fingers slipped into her wet pussy. She smiled and her eyes hooded.

  “Dominic.”

“It’s ok. No, one will ever touch you like this. This pussy is mine. All mine,” I growled.

Carmen rocked against my fingers, moaning and creaming.

“I can’t let you go, Carmen.”

She squeezed my shoulders moaning my name. Music to my fucking ears. I didn’t plan to break her so soon. Slowly she came down from her orgasm and dropped her head on my shoulder. Sliding my wet fingers out of her pussy, I sucked her juices off my fingers. Her eyes widened and she shook her head, falling to my side. The trance she was in just lifted. Carmen slid her dress down and smoothed her hands over her hair.

“I never want to see you again,” she sniffled.

Back to taking baby steps with her. There was absolutely no way I’d give up this woman.

“Dom, we’ve arrived,” Brian stated over the intercom.

I reached over and wrapped my arms around Carmen. “Think about what I said today. Understand I don’t want nor desire another woman. I only want you. I won’t stop until you’re mine.” I kissed her cheek.

  “Brian, unlock the door.”

Carmen pushed the door open and her legs shook.

  “I can walk you upstairs.”

“No!” she grimaced and slammed the door. Still struggling to keep her balance she stumbled inside.

I wasn’t sure how long it would take for her to come around, but I’d wait.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

  CARMEN

He was right he didn’t do anything to make me fall for him. Dominic took care of me. He was a shoulder to lean on and fun to talk to. Never knew he was a psychopath until he mentioned it. A psychopath is callous, yet charming. Those were the words I read on the web.

They can manipulate others with charisma and intimidation. The psychopath is keenly aware he is doing wrong, but doesn’t care.

Great, I’ve fallen for a vicious manipulative murderer. All the mafia movies I’ve watched demonstrated great amounts of violence. He probably had no problem killing.

Falling onto my pillow, I stared at the ceiling. He was distraught today. I think if he could have hidden the truth he would have. Shit, I hate I held a torch for this guy all these years. Now, I couldn’t get enough of him. The way his lips crushed mine and he groaned like he was in pain. I hated how he knew what buttons to push to make me come. I never came before. His cock was so big. He said it was mine and he didn’t want to have sex with another woman. I won’t stop until you’re mine. I’ll never forget those words. Clinching my eyelids tight, I hyperventilated. I didn’t know what to do.

The next day, I stood at my desk and glanced around. The other researchers’ heads hung over their microscopes. No sign of Dominic. I exhaled and peered through my microscope.

Later that night, I stared at the ceiling again. This has become my new routine. My normal routine before Dominic was my work. Only work. We’ve only gone on one date for his birthday.

Afterwards we studied or he studied while I worked. I loved him being close. We spent three days a week together. Never spent time alone. Greed consumed me. I wanted to see Dominic every day. I didn’t understand at the time what was happening. You know the saying absence makes the heart grow fonder. Was that Dominic’s plan all along? Keep his distance. Make me miss him.

I was shocked he sent Brian to pick me up and drive me to his condo.

I have classes in the morning and work at one thirty in the afternoon until late. Carmen lie here and really think what you are considering. Fuck, could you rationalize being the wife of a sadistic killer and mob boss.

I hated seeing Dominic fall apart. He fought within himself to tell me the truth about his mafia heritage. He was raised in a crime family of course; he asked his grandfather if he could do his part.

I know at the time I asked how could he ask his grandfather for work. Now, I understood. Killing, savagery, becoming the boss was in his DNA.

To an outsider looking in it appeared he was just studying to become an attorney. But he was planning to take over his crime family after graduation. Fuck.

My hand landed against my forehead as I scanned the darkened room. He wanted me to become his mafia princess. Me a scientist. A woman who had no recollection of what everyday life would be as a Don’s wife. Could I become ruthless and hold a person’s life in my hands? All so I could be Dominic’s wife. I fell in love with him. Shit, when did that happen? I loved how he looked at me. I was all he wanted. I loved being cherished by him. Right, now I needed time to ponder on this possible new life.

A month later, no Dominic. I guess he decided to go on with his life. My heart sank. Tugging the baseball cap over my eyes, I strolled down the halls of the law building. Luckily, Paisley worked in the Registrar’s office. She printed a copy of Dominic’s schedule for me.

I kept a picture of Dominic and I stored in my phone. It was my favorite pic out of all the ones we’d taken at the festival. Even though I caught a glimpse of that picture every day, I missed seeing him live and in person. Peeking through the oblong door window, I spotted Dominic. He raised his hand and answered the professor’s question.

Carmen what are you doing? Stalking Mr. Sexy. I shook my head.

Around ten at night I strolled into my apartment. I was exhausted. Who knew stalking your non ex-boyfriend could be a lot of work?

“Hey, Carmen. Can you come here a sec?” Paisley yelled.

“Sure.” I walked into the kitchen.

Tossing my brief case on the chair, I leaned over the counter.

“Is everything ok?” she asked with a puzzled look.

“Yeah, yeah. Research is overwhelming right now.”

  “Did you run Dominic off?”

I shook my head. “No. We’ve been wrapped up in our studies,” I lied. There was no way I could tell her or anyone, Dominic and I didn’t see each other anymore because he was a mobster.

“Oh, ok. Didn’t know when would be a good time to tell you.” She slid the dish towel in a circling motion on the counter. I saw the worry in her blue eyes.

“Um, John asked me to move in with him.”

She stroked her fingers down her long hair twisting the ends.

  “Congrat
ulations.”

Fuck, what was I going to do? There was absolutely no way I could pay this rent by myself.

  “When are you moving out?”

  “June first.”

I’ll have to place an ad for a roommate in the Stanford paper.

I needed to get out of my head.

“Break out the wine. Let’s celebrate!” I offered the best smile I could.

A few days later, I peeked in the door of the law library. Dominic wasn’t pulled together like he normally was. Was something wrong? I clinched my eyes shut. Despite the truth he told I still cared deeply.

“Excuse me. Miss, are you going inside?” A man asked.

My eyes popped open. “Yes, thank you.” I stepped inside.

Lowering my cap, I strolled into an aisle of books. I removed the book from the shelf and watched Dominic. He threaded his fingers through his dark unruly mane. Dominic picked up his cell, then glanced in my direction. My heart thudded in my ears. He couldn’t see me. Why did he appear startled? I better get out of here. Brushing my fingertips across the bonded leather books, I continued into the next row then halted holding the air in my chest.

  “Hello, Carmen.”

  My eyes widened. “Hi, Dominic.”

He closed the large gap between us. “What’s wrong?”

I struggled to breathe in his presence. Even disheveled he was delicious. “Nothing. Dominic, what happened to you?”

“Carmen, I know you aren’t asking me that.”

“What did you expect me to do? Was I supposed to be ok with the disturbing information we discussed?”

His green eyes were filled with hurt and sadness. All my doing. Don’t take the blame for this Carmen. How did you know you would fall in love with a mobster?

  “No.”

He pulled me into his arms and mashed his lips against my temple. I shattered in his arms. He was all I wanted.

“I missed you.” His big strong hands massaged my waist.

I clutched his back for dear life. “I missed you too… So much,” I breathed. “What kind of woman does this make me?”

“A loyal woman who loves her man.”

He was right. I was…Madly in love with him. I knew I was willing to cross the line for him. Cross the line into his dark world. Be whatever he needed. Until my dying breath.

I stepped back staring into his eyes. “How did you know I was here?”

“My guards.” He cupped my head and wouldn’t release my gaze. “This is it, Carmen. No turning back. You’re agreeing to become my woman. You one hundred percent understand what that means. Last chance. Do you want to walk away from us? I never planned to give you a choice, but I want a wife who loves me with every fiber of her being. You have to be willing to follow me into the darkness, Carmen.”

A tear slid down my cheek and my body shook. “Yes, I am willing to be your everything.”

His eyes glassed over. Dominic’s warm lips crushed mine with solace, need, and desire. “I knew you were the one,” he whispered.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

  DOMINIC

I grabbed her hand and cleared my throat.

“I need to check out a few books. This is an intense studying week. I have a test in the morning. The past month has been rather rough.” I peeked at her.

She stared up at me batting those long beautiful eye lashes under the cap. Fucking sexy. No sex with this woman for a long time. I set this goal when I learned she was a virgin. The thought that those lips had never been kissed properly made this the best birthday in my life. Every night in my dreams, I saw how hard she came for me. I barely touched her. The icing on the cake was tasting her pussy. Fuck, I see a lot of cold showers in my future.

The day after Carmen and I went our separate ways, I sulked in the house. Hugo and Brian tore me a new asshole for telling Carmen I was from the Magarelli crime family. Yes, it was a major risk. She could have run to the police, but she didn’t. Hugo bugged her apartment, cloned her cell, and watched her every move. She didn’t talk to anyone. Instead she binge watched mafia movies. Some nights she cried herself to sleep. I took no delight in her pain. Consoling her was what I wanted to do.

The safe move was keeping my distance. Not crowding her was what led her back into my arms. Not seeing each other three days a week anymore took its toll on us. Today, was the absolute last straw. I was at my wits end. I would’ve paid her a visit tomorrow if she hadn’t popped up at the library. Brian informed me Carmen had stalked the halls, peeking in my classes, stealing glimpses. It was time for us to move our relationship full steam ahead. No more bull shit. She needed to become my woman. If I wanted to see her in the middle of the night than so be it. We have a few more tough conversations then our tight new bond would become solid. Eventually we’d cement our union with marriage.

I peeked up from my studies. Carmen was sound asleep on the sofa. She was exhausted from working and stalking her man. I chuckled. Finally, I had the woman of my dreams. Soon, I’d teach her how to become a survivor. A mafia wife who wouldn’t be afraid to slam her stiletto onto a snake’s neck. My woman will follow me through the fire. If anyone tried to disrespect or harm my woman, I’d make an example out of them. She stirred. Her long thick brown hair cascaded across her caramel face. Those thick brows, big brown eyes, cute nose, and those fucking delicious lips make my cock twitch. Would I have asked my grandfather to run the business if she was my woman, honestly, I wasn’t sure? Maybe a man could have happiness just having his woman in his corner. I didn’t know. My family had always meant the world to me. Partially that changed when my brother died. I fucking miss him. Dominic, study.

Carmen sat on the sofa holding a book in her lap. She smiled up at me as I entered the condo.

  “How was your exam?”

“Good.” I leaned over the sofa, taking her lips. My fingers grazed her thigh.

  “Dominic,” she moaned.

“Shit, baby, don’t do that or you’ll properly be introduced to my dick.”

  “I’m ready.” She breathed.

  “Not yet.”

  She frowned.

“We have plenty of time. Any way we need to talk.”

I stood, then walked around the sofa, placing her legs in my lap. “We need to get down to business.”

She placed her text book on the glass coffee table.

  “Listening.”

“You won’t like all I have to say,” I exhaled.

  “I bugged your apartment.”

She tried snatching her legs out of my lap.

“Nope. Listen, like you said you would.”

Her arms crossed her chest as she grimaced.

“Telling you about my family was risky. I hoped you’d come around and of course not call the police. When I talk to my father and grandfather, I need to reassure them you aren’t a problem.”

I leaned in. “If they attempted to harm you, I’d go through them. No one will ever fucking hurt you.” My eyes narrowed.

Her fingers lingered in my hair.

“I’ve waited a long time for you.”

  Her eyebrows rustled together. “What?”

“Yeah, I’m getting there. Back to what I was saying. I hated to listen to you cry yourself to sleep. Also, I understand your roommate is moving out.”

  “Great, what don’t you know?”

“That’s it. The bugs have been removed.”

“Don’t ask me to move in here. Tomorrow, I’ll place an ad on the community board in the student union building.”

“You’ll do no such thing. You don’t need a stranger living with you. I’ll pay your rent.”

“No.” she glowered leaning forward. “I’ll ask my brothers to pay a couple of months.”

I gripped her face. “You’re my fucking woman. I’ll take care of you. End of fucking discussion.”

“You’re so fucking bossy. When I wasn’t your woman you bought my meals.”

  “Not sure what kind of
man you thought I was, but I ain’t that guy to be ok with my woman struggling. Even if I was broke, I’d find a way.”

  She rolled her eyes.

“Before law school I was in Jersey handling business a lot. That’s why I graduated a year late. From time to time since I’ve been in law school, I’ve handled business for my father.”

  “What kind of business.”

I chuckled. “Recently you’ve binge watched mafia movies.”

  She gaped.

“So, you know what kind of business.”

“Hm.” She tapped her finger against her chin. “I wonder which mobster you are like. The one who ran the casino or are you like the family from Jersey, or are you an all-around Wise Guy. What’s your favorite mafia movie?”

“I ain’t telling.” I slipped my fingers under her shirt. “All the questions, I think I need to see if you’re wearing a wire.”

“Dominic, I don’t have on a bra under your T-shirt just panties. Where would I hide a wire?”
