Carmen moaned. “I love the way your hands feel on my breasts.” She breathed, dazed staring into my green eyes.

  “Yeah?”

“Yes.” Her lips pressed against mine.

“Dominic, you weren’t looking for a wire, were you?”

  “No, baby.”

“Who is the man I am following into the fire?”

“A man not to be crossed.” I slid my lips down her neck.

  “I’m told I have a temper.”

“I may have to piss you off to see how bad your temper can get.”

“Go right ahead. My problem is with people who betray my family. I consider you to be my family now.”

Her hands massaged my back and her pussy pushed against my abs.

“Dominic, I don’t want to wait.”

I slipped my hand in her panties and thumbed her clit.

“You’re so fucking wet. How often did you dream about me cumming inside this tight little pussy?”

  “Oh, shit. I can’t…answer that.”

“If you were playing with your pussy before now. Stop.” I bit her neck.”

  “Dominic, ok.”

I leaned back and watched that beautiful face contort under my touch. “Cum, all over my hand. I want to taste that sweet cream again. Do you want that?”

  “So bad.”

“Yeah,” I snickered. “You’ll turn into a freak by the time I’m done with you. Just what I want. A cute little Chemist freak milking the cum from my cock until we have a house full of kids.”

  Her brown eyes popped open.

“Fuck, I could stare into those damn eyes forever.” I slid my tongue across her hungry lips.

Her head dropped back as my thumb quickened over her swollen nub.

  “I’m cumming, Dominic.”

I slid my finger into her tight hole. Her pussy squeezed my finger. Carmen’s chest heaved. I slipped my soaked hand into my mouth.

  She licked her lips watching.

“Your delicious untouched pussy is my weakness. If another man comes near you in a flirtatious manner, I’ll end him.”

She rubbed my arm and nodded.

“Shit, we didn’t finish discussing business. Now I need a shower. My dick is hard as a rock. I don’t want fucking blue balls.”

“Do you want me to take care of you?”

“In time. We need to focus on school for the time being. Back to what I was saying. Sometimes I am away. If you can’t get a hold of me. Don’t flip out. You’ll always hear from me within two days. Ok?”

  “Yes.”

“When I am away you can stay here. My guards live on this floor. You need something…I don’t care if it’s a candy bar. Call and tell them. This is your new life.”

“It’s a lot to take in.”

“You’ll adjust. Let’s discuss holidays. We’ll split Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can come home with me or vice versa.”

“What if I want us to stay here?”

  “Not an option, Carmen.”

She exhaled. “Ok.” Carmen scooted into my lap.

“Shit, baby, watch it. My dick is sensitive right now.”

Carmen blushed. “Dominic, I was worried about you the other day. I hated how upset you were. You couldn’t think straight.”

“I told you. I was fucked up because of you.”

She ran her fingers through my hair and down my stubbled cheek. “I’ll do everything within my power to keep you calm.”

“Carmen, seeing your beautiful face every day will take care of that.”

  CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

  CARMEN

I’d never been in a relationship before. Dominic I was sure wasn’t a typical boyfriend. He was possessive. Dominic expected us to have dinner at a fancy restaurant several times a week. I studied for my finals at his condo. That proved to be a difficult task. I’d gone from one extreme to the next. He appeared in my dreams over the years, now I had the ability to kiss his lips any time I wanted. His hands roamed my body like he’d known me all my life. The way his green eyes illuminated after tasting my pussy was electrifying. Not touching myself when I was home alone was tougher than I thought.

During my final exam, I drew a blank. There was a key component for a formula I swear I remembered studying. Shit, I didn’t. I said I’d take a break and nap with Dominic. I strolled over to the sofa and laid on his chest. His deep vocals rocked my core as he called my name in his sleep. A man as fine as him called out my name while he slept. I felt his cock rise against my belly. Fuck, I was in over my head.

Clutching my hair, I stared blankly at my exam.

I messed up. I messed up big time. This wasn’t the best time to have a hot boyfriend. Shit, when was it?”

  ∞

Hovering over my station, I mixed the solutions.

  “Hello, Carmen.”

  “Hi, Dominic.”

“Would you like to eat here or go out to eat?”

I placed the vials in the holders, then removed my safety glasses.

“Neither. I’d like to work for the remainder of the day. I am still upset about the C, I received on my final in a class I was performing well in until us.”

His confused eyes under those thick dark brows never left mine. Kissing those soft slender lips was all I wanted to do.

I’ve received all A’s and B’s since freshman year. Then the hottest guy I’d ever seen reappeared in my life. I didn’t quite know how to balance a relationship, work, and classes yet.

Dominic stepped closer in the navy-blue custom suit. He caressed my face, then softly kissed my lips.

“Not here in front of my coworkers.”

“Carmen, we eat lunch almost every day together. They probably know I’m your man. And if they didn’t well, they know now.” He flashed that cocky smile.

My heart skipped a beat. My man. It was still surreal. “Dominic, I’m telling you I don’t know how to balance our relationship and school.”

“I gathered that. For now, on or around test time we won’t see each other. We aren’t breaking up because you received a C on an exam, Carmen. How about we study between the main library and the law library. That’s probably best.”

His dark green eyes stared deep into mine. Running my fingers along his angular jaw crossed my mind.

He gripped my neck and face holding my gaze. “I’ll keep my greedy fingers out of your pussy. For the time being.” He flashed a devilish smile.

“I’ll order lunch and have it delivered. Talk to you later, Carmen.”

Feet cemented to the floor, I watched him walk out of the research lab. How would I ever graduate with the overbearing sexy distraction of a boyfriend. My eyes scanned the room. A few of the female researchers turned their thumbs up and grinned. My cheeks heated and I smiled. He was right everyone knew. I kept my head low for so long I hadn’t paid any attention.

Standing on a long sun filled bridge amongst about Twenty people, I rubbed my bare arms. The brisk air swept over me. The onlookers smiled brightly and supported everyone taking part in the adventure. Not me. This was ludicrous.

Dominic draped his jacket over my shoulders. “Better?”

  “Yes.” I smiled.

Dominic grinned from ear to ear running his fingers through his hair. Are you sure you don’t want to jump?”

My eyebrows rustled together. “Absolutely not. I am here strictly to support you.”

“You promised to skydive with me, right?”

“Dominic, no. I am not participating in any of these crazy adventures.”

One of the men checked Dominic’s harness. He gave another guy a thumbs up.

“Give me a kiss for good luck.”

I pecked his lips. Stepping aside, I clinched my fists and exhaled. My nerves were circling in my stomach. Gripping the cement tan bridge banister, I glanced over the edge, staring at the large rocks. This shit was crazy. I wanted to tell him he was crazy.

Dominic stood in a green T-shirt, khaki shorts, a
nd dark sneakers on the outside of the bridge hands stretched out. I held my cell high, recording every moment of this scary moment.

The attendant counted down from five, then shouted. “Go!”

Dominic bent his legs and dove off the bridge. He yelled,

  “Yeah!”

My heart stopped as I watched.

Dangling and swinging back and forth, he held his hands high pumping his fists.

Half an hour later, we hiked along the rocky trail toward the truck. He clutched the backpack straps, walking at my side. The warm sun heated my back. I placed his jacket in his backpack earlier.

“What was it like?” I asked as I approached Dominic under the bridge.

“It was invigorating.” Dominic waved his arms, smiling.

  “You should bungee jump.”

“No, I’ll take your word for it.”

“If you could do anything in the world, what would you want to do?

“This will be such a nerd answer. I would love to visit the National Chemical Laboratory in India.”

  He nodded.

“What would you like to do for fun Carmen?”

  “Travel the world by sea?”

  “Nothing easy, huh?”

I smiled behind my dark sunglasses. “I guess not. I love what I do.

Researching and creating wonderful experiments through science is all I want to do in life.”

He glanced at me eyebrow raised. “That’s all?”

I looped my arm through his. “Of course, I want a life with you. You take me on adventures. Make sure I eat-.”

“I have so much planned for us. I want you to enjoy life. All of what you asked for is what you think is fun. I want to open your eyes to things that are exciting, you wouldn’t have given a second thought. I always want to share a new adventure with you. Even if you are just there to cheer me on.”

I planted my lips against his cheek.

“Baby, the tanks, shorts, jeans, sneakers, sandals, sundresses, and messy ponytails are fine for a day like today or typical day in Cali. But soon you’ll become a Don’s wife. You have to look the part.”

My smile fell as I touched my hair. “But I have like two years.”

He chuckled. “Carmen, I want us to frequent expensive restaurants in L.A. Also take you on business trips with me at the Magarelli casino in Vegas, and to meet my parents.”

  “Dominic, I don’t know. I enjoy comfort.”

“Carmen, pampering is the next step. You are a gorgeous woman. Your ass should only grace the finest clothes.”

“Once I graduate, I’d be able to afford expensive clothes. Until, then I am fine shopping at discount stores.”

Dominic halted, rubbing his forehead. “Baby, look at me.”

I turned and gazed into his eyes. “I am Dominic Magarelli there’s no way I’ll allow you to shop at discount stores. Tomorrow afternoon, I am taking you shopping, when you receive your first check after graduation donate it or save it. You need anything at all, I’ll take care of you.”

“Dominic, I’ve managed to take care of myself all these years.”

“You’ve done well. Now it’s my turn.”

  “You’re so pushy.”

  We continued our hike.

“No, my woman deserves the best and will have it. This conversation is over.” He cut his hand through the air.

I crossed my arms over my chest, mumbling under my breath. I stopped in my tracks.

  “Take me home, Dominic.”

  “No.”

I glanced up ahead at the trail exit.

“Then don’t I’ll find my way back.”

“You’re angry because I want to make sure my woman doesn’t have to financially take care of herself.”

“Dominic, I’m not your fucking pet project. If you thought girlfriend equaled pet project than I’m not the woman for you. I don’t need you, Dominic. I want you. Being in a relationship is new to both of us. We have a very long way to go. I enjoy our conversations when we aren’t talking about possessions. Today was fun until you told me what was going to happen.”

Dominic turned to me chest heaving. “I’ve waited all my life for you. My entire life. I’ve waited to meet you!” He shouted.

“I’ve entertained too many women in my past. None equal up to you. You’re sweet, you’re kind. You’re a goddess. I watched you for almost two months before I spoke to you.”

My eyes widened and my mouth fell open.

“Yes, I cheated. I knew almost everything about the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. You’re right. I’ve never been in a relationship before because I wanted to attend Stanford and find the woman of my dreams. You think my wanting to financially do for you makes you a fucking pet.”

He clutched my face and stared into my eyes. “You are a queen. My queen. I won’t ever apologize for giving you the world. If you can’t accept how I want to take care of you than I’ll have to understand you aren’t meant for me. And I’ll take you home.

I don’t want to accept that fate. Fuck, Carmen, I hate being away from you. I had to wait months to touch you. Damn, near lost you. You know what kind of man I am. We’ve had that discussion. You came back. I never said the road would be easy. Don’t pick a fight because you’re afraid of where we are headed. Just be upfront with me and say you can’t be with me.”

His eyes darkened. “You love crazy Dominic. You’re kicking yourself for falling in love with a man like me.”

  I swallowed hard.

  Dominic continued on.

He was right. I knew I was in over my head. And we hadn’t even scratched the surface. Where did I think I was going? How long did I expect to be away from him? The moment finals were over, I caught a cab to his place. He was pissed I didn’t call Brian or Hugo to pick me up. Lying on his chest listening to his heart beat brought me peace and warmth. Maybe I was afraid to depend on him so heavily. Was I afraid I’d lose my identity?

“Carmen, are you coming?” he asked in the distance.

I ran my hand over the back of my neck and walked toward him.

He said he waited his entire life to meet me. Could I find balance? Still be Carmen. Dominic was a huge presence and a very powerful man. Maybe I was afraid to find out just how powerful of a man he was. Would he ever kill someone before my eyes? I think he would. Blinking twice I strolled in his direction.

There was no way I could ever take delight in knowing I was Dominic’s undoing.

My boyfriend was mafia royalty. That wasn’t something to take lightly.

He peeled my sunglasses off my face. “What do you want to do, Carmen?”

I must’ve zoned out. When did he walk back toward me?

“I’m scared.” I dropped my head against his chest.

He sighed. “I know you are.” Dominic wrapped his arms around me.

“This is what you get, Carmen. I’ve been very transparent.”

“I know. It’s still a lot to get used to.”

My eyes darted up meeting his intense gaze. The vulnerability in his eyes tore me apart.

  “How about breakfast?”

  “I’m starving.” I smirked.

  CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

  DOMINIC

Carmen grazed her fingers across the colorful lipstick shades at the lustrous busy makeup counter in the center of the luxury department store. Flowery fragrances filled my nose.

Her hair cascaded around her face as she leaned over the counter glancing at make up brushes in the case. I swiped her hair behind her ear.

  “Are you ok?”

She peeked up at me. “Dominic, no, I’m not ok. Every brush, every tube of lipstick is twenty dollars and up.”

“All right, all right. Carmen, don’t look at the prices.”

She stood to her full height of five feet, seven inches and sighed. “I’ve always been curious about various shades of make-up but never thought about paying fifty dollars for a brush. I don’t want to waste your money.”

  “
As long as you don’t keep me waiting when preparing for a date, because your applying makeup to that already gorgeous face, we should be fine.”

She cocked her head to the side. “Dominic, that’s your big concern?”

  My eyebrows scrounged together. “Yeah.”

  She laughed. “Ok.”

A sales associate greeted us. She talked Carmen into a makeover. Carmen smiled sitting in the chair. “I’m a little nervous. But eager to see the end result.”

I sat in a chair across the aisle and settled into a law journal on my cell.

Never did I intend to eavesdrop.

  “Is he your boyfriend?”

  “Yes.”

I peeked at Carmen who smiled bright at the woman’s question. My heart skipped a beat. She was what I wanted more than anything else. Just to be in her presence and make her smile every day. I’d never forget how she stared into my eyes the day she came back to me.

Fuck, you have no idea how badly I wanted to take her home and rip the clothes from her succulent body and make love to her all night. I was aware how ready she was to give herself to me.
