“Yes, I plan to marry you. But I’ll propose first.”

  “Why?”

  “Let’s get married now.”

I shook my head. “Wait. Look at me.”

She gazed into my eyes. “I shouldn’t have done that.”

Her eyes darkened and she hopped out of my lap. “You are confusing as fuck, Dominic.”

I hadn’t seen Carmen pissed before.

“I won’t ask you to take me home. I’ll make it back on my own.” She rummaged through her suitcase.

“Wait a fucking minute.” I stood, tightening the towel around my waist.

  “Come here.”

“Fuck no!” she spat. “Why are you playing with my heart?”

“Carmen, allow me to explain. Stand up.”

“No. You know I love you. But you don’t love me,” she grimaced.

“Stand up.” I pulled her to her feet.

Cupping her face, I stared into her eyes. “I’ve been in love with the idea of you for so long, now you are finally in my life. I didn’t want to tell you who I was because I didn’t want to risk losing you. I was so fortunate you came back. You have no idea how hard it is to move at a snail’s pace when it comes to you. I’d love to do everything hyper speed. I have to make sure you don’t change your mind about us. It’s almost like I am a glutton for punishment. I don’t want to ever lose you. Don’t you get it. I haven’t told you I loved you because in the back of my mind the second I do you’ll walk away. What you saw tonight was a taste on the tip of your tongue of how dark I really am. I cut people up and bury them in deep graves. I’m a darker version of the big bad wolf. No one crosses me or my family and lives to talk about it.”

  She swallowed hard.

“So, it has nothing to do with if I love you or want to marry you. Carmen, you know I do.”

“Maybe you were feeding me lies to keep me in your life.”

  “Lies about what?”

“That you wanted to marry me.”

I dropped to my knees. “Fuck, Carmen. I haven’t fucked any women since last September. The moment I laid eyes on you, I only focused on having you in my life forever. It’s sick how much I love you. You know it too. Carmen, you fucking know the effect you have on me. Shit, you are my first girlfriend and will be my first and last wife. Allow me to handle the details of our relationship correctly. I will propose to you.”

She folded her arms as I stood towering over her. “You said you heard me cry myself to sleep when you bugged my apartment. So, you know if you asked, I’d move in with you. I’d give you my virginity in a heartbeat.”

Gruffly, I ran my hand over my hair. I gripped her face. “We will wait that’s final.”

She ripped the towel from my waist, exposing my rock-hard cock.

Her eyes gravitated to my dick. “He doesn’t want to wait. I can’t get over you’re hung like a fucking horse.”

She peeled her panties over her plump ass and down her legs. “I want you now, Dominic.”

  My face tightened. “No.”

She unhooked her bra and it slid down her arms to the floor. We’d never seen each other naked. Strategically, I’d worked out everything in my mind on how I wanted to keep her off my cock.

She licked her lips grazing her fingers over my hairy chest.

Carmen’s body was perfect. Those melons were begging me to lick and suck them.

She pressed her body against mine and slid her tongue into my mouth. “Tell me you love me. I’m not going anywhere.” She breathed.

  “I love you, Dominic.”

My eyelids lowered. I pulled her up into my arms and slammed her on the bed. Hovering over her heaving body, I slid my tongue around her neck as my cock poked her thigh.

“I want it so bad, Dominic.”

Gripping her hands over her head, I clinched her nipple between my teeth. I released her hands and sucked her breast into my mouth.

“Dominic, I’m so wet for you.” Carmen slid her greedy fucking fingers up and down my long cock. “No Carmen.”

“Feel how wet I am for you, Dominic,” she whispered. Carmen grabbed my hand and slid my fingers along her wet folds. “Make me come please.”

I pulled back staring into her hungry eyes. “This is the last time I will touch you for a long time.”

She pouted. “Let me taste you.”

“Baby, shit, you’re trying to break me down.”

  “Yes, I am,” she smirked.

My fingers circled her clit. Carmen stroked my cock faster. “Fuck, baby. Just like that,” I moaned.

I wasn’t sure when I planned to show Carmen how much control she had over me. But the way she stroked my cock pushed me over the edge. My lips devoured hers.

“I love you so much, Carmen. Shit. I love you. I need to have you in my life. I can’t lose you. Do you know what that would do to me?”

Her eyes softened. “Yes, because the same thing would happen to me. I’d combust. I have to be your everything, Dominic. Your wife, your life partner, the mother of your children and if it comes down to it…your partner in crime.”

I crushed her lips again. Clutching my eyes shut, I focused on how good her fingers felt around my cock.

“Never leave. Never walk away.” I wrapped my hand around her neck. “Do you fucking hear me?”

She laughed then her body convulsed under my grip. My hand tightened as cum spewed from my cock all over her stomach. “You’re…my…life…Carmen,” I growled.

“I better be, Dom,” she purred.

Fuck I was salivating at how smooth my nickname rolled from her pouty perfect lips. She was it. My undoing. Nothing was worse than allowing a woman to know how much control she had over you. I fell against Carmen covering her body.

“Baby, that wasn’t supposed to happen.” I rolled onto my back. My chest rose and fell.

“Dominic, since you are making me wait to give myself to you. I hope you plan to ask my father for my hand in marriage. Wife first then you can have my virginity.”

  “What?”

“Yep, I’ll please myself until we get married.”

I flew over her like a Tiger. “What did I say about you playing with yourself. That won’t happen. Every inch of this fucking gorgeous body belongs to me.” I widened her thighs with my knee, then slipped my finger into her soaked pussy. I shoved my fingers into my mouth savoring her taste. “Tell me again you don’t want me to touch you.”

“Babe. Fine, I won’t touch myself. Only you will please me.” She snickered.

“You think you’re fucking slick. “I’m not kidding, Carmen.”

She intertwined our lips. “I’ll do as I’m told.”

Carmen attempted to gain a level of control in our relationship. Wasn’t happening.

  “Good, girl.”

  CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

  CARMEN

Dominic’s hand stuck to my ass like glue, while sipping whiskey in a low-ball glass as we strolled through the bright casino floor. The nude beaded dress was over kill. But I think Dominic wanted everyone’s eyes on me. The thin white belt choked my waist. My puffy sheer sleeves flowed in the air conditioned breeze as I held the long form fitting dress from catching under my nude stilettos.

My eyes lit up as we passed the lucky patrons collecting their winnings from the colorful dinging slot machines. They laughed, smiled, and puffed away on their cigarettes, as they threw the dice across the Craps table. Constant chatter surrounded us. Dominic watch the mannerisms of the players behind his aviator sunglasses. I hadn’t noticed yesterday, but it appeared dealers smiled and cocktail waitresses gave me the once over as Dominic and I continued on.

My man was feared and powerful. A dangerous combination. He wasn’t a Wise guy like I witnessed in the mafia movies. Dom moved in silence and revealed his rage behind closed doors.

Once Dominic’s anger kicked in, the person in his line of sight didn’t stand a chance. His psychotic tendencies wouldn’t allow him not to.

  He was cool
as a fan when the men first entered his office but once the guy lied, shit took a bad sharp turn. Watching a mafia movie on screen was different than watching it live and up close. I needed a stiff drink. Standing at the bar, Dominic stood behind me. He wanted to ensure I was all right. I peeked at the frightened men then at Dominic. His concerned gaze met mine. I think he was afraid of how I’d react once I saw his anger take a turn for the worse. I knew who I’d fallen in love with; a sinister evil man when provoked. He was capable of egregious acts of violence. Didn’t matter. I only hungered for him more.

Weirdly enough, I didn’t feel remorse for the men. Sure, when Dominic held the muzzled Glock to their heads, I almost peed myself. Shit, I was about to witness my psycho boyfriend’s wrath first hand. I wasn’t ready for the leather apron and strapping the thieves hands to the desks. Dominic never heard my shrills nor saw my gaping mouth under my hand as I watched in the distance as he plunged the golf club against their hands until their bloody bones and flesh hung off their skin.

My love for Dominic was bloody and raw. To the world he was an intelligent law student and governor’s son. To the underworld he was a viper ready to rip any man’s head off who crossed the Magarelli’s.

I was serious I wanted to become his wife this weekend. Every time I was in Dominic’s presence my hunger for him crawled under my skin. There was a constant need to feel his big strong hands run over my body. I needed to be consumed with all things Dominic.

We were both that way when it came to each other. This weekend I realized Dominic held back. He was afraid I’d leave and break his heart. Not a fucking chance. That shit flew out of the window. There was no turning back. As much as I wanted his large cock inside my pussy, I’d wait until I graduated.

I peeked at him. My eyes marveling his long jaw bone and those delicious lips. Yup, I was whipped and he hadn’t even made love to me yet.

We halted at the Roulette Table. “Baby, have a seat.”

I climbed on to the chair as two waitresses approached.

“Mr. Magarelli can I refresh your drink,” they snickered hanging on his arm.

“No, thank you. Do you see her?” he pointed in my direction.

  “Yes.”

“She’s my woman. Her name is Carmen Drake. She is the future Mrs. Magarelli. You show her respect every time you see her.”

My heart beat raced in my chest. A smile rushed to my lips then disappeared as I glanced over the waitresses disappointed faces.

  “We understand, Mr. Magarelli.”

  “Now send the bartender over.”

“Right away,” the red head stated as she walked away.

Dominic stepped over kissing my temple. “Are you all right?”

“Did you fuck them, Dominic? Is that why you didn’t want them taking our drink order.” I whispered in a raised voice into his ear.

He hesitated. “Yes.” Dominic stepped back.

“Mr. Magarelli, what can I get for you and Ms. Drake?”

“A whiskey sour and a whiskey neat.”

  “Right away, sir.”

Dominic leaned into my ear. “You know how much you mean to me. Don’t ever worry about another woman. They will go out of their way to make you jealous because they want what they can’t have. I love you, Carmen.”

I swallowed hard. It was surreal to hear those words fall from his sexy lips.

The bartender returned and sat our drinks on the table before us.

Dominic thanked the bartender. I brought the whiskey sour to my lips.

“Baby, are you ready to play.”

  “Yes,” I smirked.

Carmen, don’t let his past sexual encounters destroy your relationship.

He smoothed his hand over my long dark brown hair cascading over one shoulder and smiled.

Dominic returned his attention to the table. Hugo stepped over placing a cut cigar in Dominic’s hand. He placed the cigar between his lips. Hugo lit the cigar. Dominic tilted his head back and puffed.

“Carmen, what numbers do you want to play?”

“Let’s try twenty-four black, zero, nine, and sixteen red.”

Dominic leaned over the table in his crisp white suit and placed the chips on the selected numbers. After all bets were placed the dealer spun the wheel.

Biting my lip, I held my breath. The ball landed.

  “Zero.”

My hands flew over my mouth. “Yes!”

I rattled off the next set of numbers to Dominic.

“Are you sure you want to select the same numbers?”

  “Yes.”

He placed the chips on my numbers. We watched the ball spin and bounce until it fell on twenty-four black.

“Carmen, you won again!” Dominic yelled, kissing my cheek.

The dealer pushed large stacks of chips toward me.

“Dominic, how much did I win?”

  “Two-hundred and fifty thousand.”

My eyes widened. “Jesus how much were the chips worth?”

He flashed that gorgeous smile. “Don’t worry about it, sweetheart. Let’s walk over to the Poker table. You’ll be my good luck charm.” He winked.

Dominic nodded at Hugo. He swooped in and collected my chips.

“Hugo, will bring your chips to the Poker table.”

His hand grazed my hip as we walked.

“Are you having a good time?”

“Yes, Dominic. I’m enjoying our time together this weekend.”

“Good. I thought it would be a nice break before the fall semester began.”

I snuggled in his arms planting my lips against his cheek as we strolled through the casino.

  ∞

Dominic and I hadn’t seen that much of each other since the new semester began. My final year class load was brutal. So was Dominic’s.

My cell vibrated during class around nine-thirty in the morning. I glanced at the screen. Dominic’s number brightened the screen.

Shit, why was he calling? He knew I was in class.

“Carmen, I am curious to know your answer to the question since your cell phone is so much more important,” Professor Rogers grimaced.

The students throughout the class, glimpsed at me.

  “Yes.”

While answering the question, I couldn’t stop thinking about the early morning call from Dominic. Slipping my cell into my backpack, I returned my attention to the lecture.

An hour later I darted out the classroom door into the hall. Holding my cell to my ear, I waited for the voicemail to play.

Good morning, baby. Sorry to call during class. I have to fly to Jersey and handle a business matter. I’ll call you as soon as I can. I love you.

His phone voice always melted my panties. My heart plummeted. I felt uneasy about this trip. I wasn’t sure why. He’d flown to Jersey a few times over the summer but never last minute like this.

Monday was my busiest day of the school week. After my last class I strolled into the research lab.

  “Hello, Carmen.”

I glanced at the workstation to my left. “Hello, Gilbert, how are you?”

  He smiled bright. “I’m well.”

“Good. How’s your research coming along?”

He ran his fingers through his short red hair. “Challenging, but I am confident my research will be a success by the end of the semester.”

I leaned on the counter. “Yeah, I hear you. I am struggling as well. Our last year is proving to be the most difficult.” I chuckled.

“Would you like to discuss hypothesis on break later?”

  I nodded. “Sure.”

Walking toward my station, Brian came into view.

  “Hey, is Dominic, ok?”

“I haven’t spoken to him. Before he left, he told me to grab your lunch.”

Peeking into the brown paper bag, I sniffed the egg drop soup and grinned. “Thanks, Brian.”

“You’re welcome.” He turned on his heels.

  “Oh, Brian.”

  He glanced over h
is shoulder. “Yes?”

“I will see you later tonight. I am staying at Dominic’s.”

“Ok. Hugo and I are ordered to guard you while Dom is away. I’ll return at eight tonight.”

  “Ok.”

Not sure how I forgot when Dominic’s away his men watch over me like hawks.

  CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

  CARMEN

Later, that night, I laid in Dominic’s bed clutching his pillow inhaling his woodsy scent. I missed him already. Peeking at my cell, I scrolled through my messages. No new texts. I sighed then dozed off.

Hovering over my station the next day, I pondered if I should call Dominic. No Carmen. He told you he had business to tend to.

  “Carmen, what’s up?”

I met Gilbert’s brown eyed gaze. “Hey how is it going?”

  “Good.”

“I noticed the guy who joins you for lunch almost everyday hasn’t been around the last couple of days. Is everything all right?”

My smile rose and fell. “Yeah, fine.” I bit back the tears.
