Hidden Witness Page 6
Of course, their words cut like a knife. I didn’t take his calls for a week after seeing him in magazines hanging out with different women. My parents still had no idea I was seeing Blake.
The Cheerleaders and I practiced our cheers on the sidelines of the football field. Whispers and giggles began to emerge from the girls.
“Girls come on! We have too much work to do.”
“I can’t believe Blake is here,” I heard one of the girls say.
My anger burned within. I never turned around. I continued yelling at the girls until they mastered their routine.
“Take a quick drink break.”
The sun beat down on us. After sucking down half a cup of water, I poured the remaining contents down my t-shirt. The boys stared from across the field.
I glanced up in the bleachers at Blake. I smirked.
He burned with anger. Blake stormed toward me.
“You think that is cute?”
“What? It’s hot!”
He snatched me up by my arm. “What’s going on with you?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You know damn well what I’m talking about!”
“There’s nothing to talk about. Go back to California with all the models.”
Blake gripped my wrists tight, holding them in front of me. He stared at me briefly, then his lips slammed into mine. Our kiss felt like it lasted forever.
Pulling back, his head dropped against mine. “I need to be with you. Tell your parents you are spending the night at Asia’s. I’ll pick you up at 8 p.m.”
“Ok.”
“I love you Lindsay.”
There was an innocence in his eye after he said it.
I couldn’t believe those words came out of his mouth. I was speechless. He didn’t wait for me to reply, he walked away.
Slowly, I walked back over to the girls, as my fingers brushed my lips. It wasn’t the first time he’d kissed me. He’d kissed me before dropping me off at Asia’s the first day we met. I never understood why he was drawn to me.
Sitting on the curb outside Asia’s house, I waited for Blake. I was early. I needed a minute to think. I’d been seeing him for four months. He never once tried to touch me in an improper way. Somehow, I knew when he told me he loved me, he wanted more.
Blake pulled up. I slid inside his Porsche. I didn’t know what to say to him. He increased the volume on the radio. The music glared through the speakers as we drove away. He sang along to the popular country song. Placing his hand on my thigh at the hem of my dress, he smiled, then continued to sing to me.
Blake stopped out front of a fancy hotel. I glanced over at him.
“What are we doing here?”
The valet approached taking Blakes keys.
“Come on Lindsay.”
Blake walked around to my side of the car, opening my door, reaching out his hand for mine.
We strolled into a spacious penthouse suite.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
LINDSAY
“Why are you staying here and not with your parents?”
“Because I wanted to spend time with you the night before my birthday.” He wrapped me in his arms.
“I won’t be able to see you tomorrow night because the record label has a big party planned for me. I just wanted a quiet night with you.”
Brushing the back of his hand across my cheek, his lips found mine. His kiss was rushed then his lips slowly ran down the side of my neck.
“Have you ever had sex before?” he whispered.
“No.” My eyes remained closed, as my heart beat fast.
“Do you want your first time to be with me?”
Gazing back into his big blue eyes, I shook my head yes.
“Do you love me Lindsay?”
“Yes,” I breathed.
I’ve been in love with Blake since the first time he serenaded me. Blake has told me all his hopes and dreams. I probably know Blake better than anyone.
My fingers trailed up his torso, slipping his shirt over his head.
“Do you belong to me Lindsay?”
“Yes.”
Blake retrieved a condom from his back pocket, before dropping his jeans and boxers revealing his large package. I gasped at the sight of his cock.
“It’s going to be ok. I won’t hurt you.
He ripped the package open, placing the condom between my fingers.
“Put it on me.”
I slid the slippery condom down his big cock.
Slowly, Blake unbuttoned the front of my dress, then watched it slip to the floor. After unhooking my bra, he turned me away from him.
His tongue slithered down the back of my neck, as his large hands massaged my breast, his teeth gripped my ear. My eyes slammed shut. The tingling sensation overtook my body. Soon his fingers slid down my flat tummy into my core. Moans escaped my lips as he massaged my clit. I felt so alive.
“Don’t move.”
Quickening his pace, his lips covered mine capturing all of my moans as I came all over his hand. He licked my cum off his fingers, before laying me on the soft king-sized bed. His long body covered mine. Two large fingers slowly pushed inside me. Staring into his piercing blue eyes made me wetter for him. I wanted all of Blake inside me that second.
“Blake, make love to me. I’m all yours and only yours.”
His face lit up. “That is what I wanted to hear, you are all mine.”
His lips pulled mine into his. Blake pushed both my legs back as he slowly, painfully pushed his big cock inside me.
“Shit!” I screamed.
Snaking his hips, he continued pushing deeper inside my wetness. Clenching his broad shoulders, my mouth stretched open, while he slid back and forth inside me.
“Lindsay, you feel so good.”
Hovering over me, he gripped one of my thighs as he flicked his hips, pounding my tight hole. His teeth gripped the thin skin on my neck until he came.
Blake pulled me on top of him. My fingers ran over his cheek.
“That was nice.”
He smiled. “Yeah, it was.”
Being with Blake every time he flew into town was amazing.
After that night Blake was with me every chance he got. He was touring across country, so our time was sparse. I could only go to shows he had in Portland. My father wouldn’t allow me to travel out of state because I was only sixteen. My father was growing suspicious. He called me into his office questioning me about all the sleep overs at Asia’s.
I sat at my dad’s desk looking prim and proper like a good little girl.
“Lindsay, every other weekend you are off to your best friend’s house. I feel like there is more going on you aren’t telling me. You are doing exceptional in school; however, you are rarely here with your sisters and mother. For the time being I need you at home. We have some very important events coming up. Next Thursday we have a Benefit to attend. They have a new artist performing Blake.”
I didn’t want to tip my father off, so I played like it was no big deal.
“Oh really, sounds nice dad. I look forward to attending.” I stood, walking around to my daddy’s side of the desk, kissing him on the cheek.
“Bye, dad.”
My older sister Leanne was getting suspicious too. I wonder if she told my father I was seeing someone.
Leanne is a senior in high school. She knows all the popular kids. I hope no one told her I’m seeing Blake. Right now, we have to keep our love hidden because of our age difference.
Lucy and Libby are only eight and twelve. They haven’t got a clue. I call Blake at the time he told me to call.
The night of the Benefit, I slipped into my prettiest canary yellow dress.
Once Blake took the stage the girls all ran to the front, not me. I remained behind.
My father glanced over his shoulder at me. “Are you enjoying yourself Lindsay?”
“Yes, it couldn’t get any better.”
“We’ll see about that,” he winked.
After Blakes performance he strolled toward my family and me. My eyes widened in disbelief. What was he thinking?
“Mr. Sawyer sir, it is so good to see you again,” Blake said shaking my father’s hand.
“Blake is a new client. He wants his assets protected as well as he needs someone to read over all his contracts.”
“Thank you, Mr. Sawyer, for representing me.”
Did Blake become my father’s client to gain access to me?
“Blake, I’d like to introduce you to my family.”
I held my breath until my father got to me.
“Blake, this is my daughter Lindsay.”
I placed my hand in his, a wide smile took over my face as I glanced in his eyes, then staring down at the floor, I snatched my hand away.
“Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too Lindsay.” I could feel his smile without looking at him.
My mother, sisters, and I, listened to my dad and Blake talk. I wondered was there a way I would be able to see Blake before he flew back to L.A.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
LINDSAY
Blake said his goodbyes to us then went about his night.
The next day during my third hour class, I noticed I had a missed call and voice message. I kept my cell phone on vibrate in my purse during class. I listened to the voicemail on my way to my locker, after class. Blake called telling me to skip classes for the rest of the day. I returned his call, phone went straight to voice mail. I left him a message telling him to pick me up at 12:30 in front of the school.
I only informed Asia of my afternoon plans, before slipping away with Blake. We drove back to his hotel, then made love.
Blake and I saw each other for almost a year. My father began loosening the reigns a little letting me sleep over at Asia’s house again. I didn’t abuse it, I needed my dad to remain off my trail.
One Friday evening my father told my mother, sisters and me to dress up for dinner. To my surprise Blake and my father were standing in the dining room whispering about business I assumed. I didn’t expect to see Blake for a couple of weeks. He was out on tour.
Sitting around the dinner table we laughed and joked.
My father stood to his feet. “I would like to toast to Blake.”
We raised our glasses.
“Blake, congratulation’s on being nominated for a Grammy for your first album.”
We yelled, “Congratulation’s!”
Secretly, I was a little uneasy that night. I hadn’t gotten my period in two months. Recently, Blake didn’t bother wearing a condom, since I told him I was on the pill. My mother insisted my doctor prescribe birth control when I turned sixteen. Forgetting to take my pills a couple days put me in this situation. I took a pregnancy test in the Wendy’s restaurant restroom. I didn’t want anyone to know I took the test. I definitely didn’t want anyone to know I was pregnant with Blakes child. I had no one to turn to.
“Lindsay!” my father called my name snapping me out of my thoughts.
“Yes dad?”
“Come here sweetheart. I need to talk to you a second.”
I smiled, walking with my father down the hall. My body froze when I reached the threshold of the office. Blake was gazing out of the window.
“Step inside Lindsay,” my father said from behind.
Not sure he noticed I was visibly shaking.
“Have a seat Lindsay.” Quietly I sat.
Blake tried to hold his smile.
My father stepped over to his desk. He unlocked a drawer, throwing a file on the desk.
“Mr. Sawyer, is something wrong?” Blake asked.
“I would say so.”
My father spread the photos of Blake and I, all over his desk, ensuring we saw every photo.
Blake now stood at my side as he gawked at the photos of us hugged up in the car, when Blake picked me up from school.
“Dad, who told you?”
“A client of mine, saw you two walking into a hotel one night. I’ve had you two followed ever since.”
“Mr. Sawyer! I love your daughter.”
“Blake, my daughter just turned seventeen years old. You are a grown man having sex with a minor!” my father roared.
My father stood with his hands on his hips pacing back and forth.
“This ends now! You can no longer see her.”
The tears rolled down my pink cheeks. “Dad, I love him!” I slipped my hand into Blakes.
“Lindsay, you can’t see it because you are too young!” You are just another girl to him.”
“Mr. Sawyer, that isn’t true.”
“I hadn’t told Blake the news yet, we are having a baby.”
“What?!” My father shouted.
Blakes wide eyes met mine. “I’m sorry, I was trying to find the right time to tell you,” I stated.
Blake rubbed my shoulders. “It’s ok we will be fine. Mr. Sawyer, I will marry Lindsay and we will raise our child together.”
I felt at ease after that.
My father ran his fingers through his brown and silver hair, staring out the window, blankly.
“There is no way, I will let you continue to steal my daughter’s innocence!” He ran his fingers across his brow, then turned to us.
“Lindsay, when did you find out you were pregnant?” my father asked.
I sniffled. “About two months ago.”
“This is what is going to happen. Lindsay, you are going to get an abortion.”
“What?! No!” I cried.
My father ignored my cry’s.
“Mr. Sawyer. I’m asking you not to do this. I love her,” he said closing in on my father.
“Blake, I will continue to handle your money, and contracts for your foreseeable future. You will go back to L.A. and stay there.”
“Lindsay is my child! Blake, you have no say in what happens in her life!” he spat standing toe to toe with Blake.
“Lindsay is going to live her life without you in it.”
I leaped out of my seat, grabbing onto Blakes arm. He turned holding me in his arms.
“You’re both young. Blake, if you were to marry Lindsay your career would be over in days. Your fans are mainly women, who see you as a single sex symbol. You have to continue to keep that image alive.”
“So, what I am not allowed to fall in love?”
“Not at twenty-one. Maybe when you are in your thirties, yes. Right now, you are a cash cow. Lindsay, first thing in the morning I’m taking you to the clinic. Blake, I need you to sign another contract.”
“No!”
“You will! You took advantage of my child. I want you out of her life.”
Blake pulled my hand, sitting me down on the sofa in the middle of the room.
“Lindsay, I love you.” His hands rested on my face as he stared deep into my eyes.
“Always remember, I love you.”
My head slammed against his brooding chest. He held me in silence. My tears poured out from deep within.
The next morning, I awoke in my bed. No recollection of how I got there.
My mother walked into my room rushing me to get ready for my appointment. She never made eye contact.
After the procedure that morning, a part of me was gone, never to return. My parents willingly killed mine and Blakes baby.
Blake and I were never the same. The moment I turned eighteen and was living on campus, Blake came right back into my life. We weren’t the same people. A part of our hearts had been hollowed out. Blake was happy being single. Even though we were sleeping together again, love wasn’t a word we brought up in conversation. We became broken people. I began dating Jeff. I needed someone who would love me and not be driven away by my father.
I sat frozen in place on Blakes tour bus. My husband caught me cheating on him a second time with Blake. It was time for me to be honest with Jeff and myself. I was in love with Blake. I realized in that moment we never had to say we loved each other. It was a known fact.
Not sure what’s the next move, but it’s evident leaving Blake alone is not an option.
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
JEFF
No more happy life. It was over. My trust in women went out the window to. My focus became my children and my company.
Getting joint custody, was all I could get. I wanted full custody, but I didn’t have my hands in the right pockets in Portland. Lindsay’s family is well-known. Thank God, I have joint custody.
Turns out Blake only wanted Lindsay because she was with me, in a relationship. She was spoken for. The moment we broke up, they were up and down, back and forth. I could see now. In the past, I couldn’t tell or was too busy to see.
Her mood swings are clear now. The way she behaved. Hanging out all times of the night. She was with him. When she wasn’t in the street, it was because he was on the road. I hated the ah ha moment, but it was needed. The closure, helped me see Lindsay for who she really was a spoiled bitch who couldn’t have the man she really wanted so she chose me to make him jealous. I’m not sure if I will ever find love again. I know I’m not looking.

My children will be here tomorrow evening. They are staying for the weekend. I better check to see if I have enough food for dinner tomorrow night. Checking the fridge, I notice I have one bottle of beer left and that’s never a good thing. I laugh. I also need to buy milk. I opened the freezer finding only one bag of chicken nuggets.
“Looks like I’m headed to the grocery store,” I said a loud.
Lily loves chicken nuggets, but Dillon doesn’t.
I have to find something more suitable for Dillon. He loves meatball sandwiches like his dad, I smile at the thought. What I wouldn’t give to be able to take him to Jersey for a meatball sub. As much as I wanted my own family, bringing children into this volatile world is dangerous. There are mean hearted, conniving, lying, selfish, backstabbing people in this world.
My son got a taste of how cruel people can be. He and a boy at school had a run in a few weeks back. The boy Elvin tripped Dillon in the boys’ bathroom. All because Dillon pushed him by accident on the playground. A few other boys stood laughing at Dillon.
